Dear Families
As we close another memorable school year, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the many accomplishments and milestones we’ve achieved together. This year has been filled with growth, learning, and collaboration, and I am incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication shown by our students, staff, and families.
A special thank you to our outstanding leadership team, staff, and administration team, whose tireless efforts have helped create a positive and supportive learning environment. Your commitment to excellence has been instrumental in making this year a success. We wish our departing staff all the best for the future, while we also look forward to a number of new staff joining us in the new year. This year we farewell Andrea Elgueta and Julia Amaira.
To our graduating students and their families, congratulations! This is a significant achievement, and we are excited to see the bright future that lies ahead for each of you. We wish you all the best as you embark on your next chapter.
As we head into the holiday season, I want to wish all of our families a wonderful Christmas and a safe and restful holiday break. May this time be filled with joy, peace, and special moments with loved ones.
Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to seeing everyone back in the new year. 2025 is shaping up to be an exciting year and I cannot wait to share it with our wonderful students.
I look forward to seeing lots of our families tonight at the Community Christmas Event 'Morwell Merry Festival' - I can't wait to see St.Vincent's be the stars of the show!
Have a lovely Christmas.
Dave
DOSCEL Christmas Card Winner 2024
Congratulations to Ryder Azzopardi on his winning entry in this year's diocesan wide competition. Thank you to all the students who submitted entries and to the staff that supported the classes to create entries.
Ryder not only went Back-to-Back as our 2023 & 2024 winner, he was also recognised this year with a DOSCEL-wide TOP 10 Award.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our entire school community for your generous support of the Social Justice Fundraiser for Vinnies Christmas Hampers. Thanks to your kindness and contributions, we were able to provide much-needed hampers to families in need this holiday season.
Your donations will help bring joy and comfort to many individuals and families facing difficult times, ensuring they can enjoy a warm and festive Christmas. We are proud of the compassion and spirit of giving displayed by our students, staff, and families, who came together to make this initiative a success.
A special thank you to our Religious Education Leader, Cam Greenslade, for organising this meaningful fundraiser and to all those who volunteered their time and resources. Your efforts have made a significant impact, and we are grateful for your commitment to helping others.
Together, we have shown that even small acts of kindness can create a ripple effect of positive change. We look forward to continuing our work with Vinnies and other organisations to support those in need.
Thank you again for your incredible generosity and for making this Christmas brighter for those less fortunate.
We would like to extend our deepest appreciation to Art Teacher Kathy Monacella for the outstanding Art Expo that recently took place. The event was a wonderful celebration of our students’ creativity and artistic talent. Kathy’s dedication to nurturing the artistic abilities of her students was evident in every piece of artwork displayed.
As Picasso once said, “Every child is an artist,” and this year’s Art Expo truly brought that quote to life. The student artwork showcasing the diverse talents and unique perspectives of our young artists. Kathy’s guidance and encouragement allowed each student to express themselves fully, and the result was a breathtaking collection of creativity.
We would also like to thank the volunteers and staff who worked behind the scenes to help transform the gym into a stunning gallery space. Their efforts made it possible for the Art Expo to be a true visual feast, and their hard work was greatly appreciated by all.
The Art Expo was a memorable occasion that highlighted the importance of the arts in education, and we are grateful to Kathy Monacella and everyone involved for making it such a success.
Congratulations to our Graduation Award winners. Your hard work, dedication, and achievements have earned you well-deserved recognition. We are incredibly proud of your success. A special thank you to our generous sponsors for their support in making these awards possible. Your contributions help celebrate and inspire our students’ futures.
